Baptism “Day of” Instructions for those Baptizing
Thank you for being willing to be a part of the baptism process here at Faith! The video above will explain some day of details that will be useful. We have added many of the same notes and a few extras below if you need to review them quickly.
We suggest arriving early for service and sitting towards the front on the right hand side of the Worship Center.
A dark colored t-shirt and shorts/swim trunks are great for participating in baptism, please bring a towel and extra change of clothing.
After the sermon, we’ll invite all those participating to go into the green room through the double wooden doors at the front right hand side of the sanctuary. You’ll have about ten minutes to change.
When in the tank, please be prepared to share a few encouraging thoughts about the person you are baptizing. After you share those thoughts you will lead them through three affirmations. The affirmations and responses can be found below.
The video above walks through several dynamics about the process. We encourage you to give it a watch and then reach out if you have any questions.
After your baptism head back into the green room, dry off, change and then return to your seat in the sanctuary.
Thanks for sharing this special day with us!
