Meet Brian,

I grew up on a farm in south-central Nebraska and came to faith in Jesus at a young age through the influence of my parents and church. College was a time of significant spiritual growth as I was involved the ministry of Cru. I had always planned on returning to farm, but during those years in college, I sensed God calling me into full-time ministry. My wife, Cindy, and I served on staff with Cru for 14 years (11 at KSU), but eventually I sensed God calling me to church-based ministry.

We left Manhattan in 1997 for me to attend seminary thinking our time in Manhattan was done, but upon graduation Faith hired me in 2000 to serve as the equipping pastor. We were thrilled to return to Manhattan! The heart of my calling is to help make disciples. I love helping people find and follow God. Cindy and I were married in 1986 and have four great kids. Two of them are married and we are blessed to be grandparents! I love sports (all things Huskers and KC), reading (history, biography) and the great outdoors!
