KidMin Music: Is it for you?

Love kids? Love music? The children’s department is seeking out enthusiastic teens or adults who’d like to serve in music-related positions this summer and next fall or spring. Opportunities include leading large group times in singing and/or dance, or accompanying singing with guitar for Sunday AM activities. The same opportunities are open for this summer’s VBS. Commitment levels vary with personal desire and availability. No previous experience is necessary, but a vibrant love for Jesus is a pre-requisite! Training in using resources and leading large groups will be provided. Please contact Heidi DeWolf (313-3191 or heidi.10@cox.net) for more information.

May marks the end of our current teachers’ commitment to their small groups. It would be a fantastic month to show appreciation to them for all the hours they have invested into your children. Thanks for being AWESOME parents!

Summer Opportunities

Families of Faith,

It is a great honor to work day in and day out dreaming about how your kids might live well for Jesus. Regardless of how much I dream there is no way I, or even a handful of people, could do a good job of showing our children the amazing things God has in store for them. We NEED your help! Below are a couple of opportunities that I would love for you to consider volunteering some of your time to help out with.

This year’s VBS is going to be AWESOME for both kids and adults!!!! As of now we’re still about 35 volunteers away from where we want to be. VBS will be held from 6:00pm-8:30pm June 11th-15th. One of the reasons we hold it in the evenings is because we want to see lots of dads there. Moms show your husbands this email. Dads (and moms) click this link to learn more and sign-up to volunteer, it takes less than 60 seconds!

We are also in the middle of recruiting our summer Sunday School teachers. Our current teachers have been at it for almost 9 months now! They have earned a well deserved break! One of the cool things about Faith is that we don’t tone things back during the summer. We want to keep providing top notch experiences for children year around. We have spots for all kinds of giftings. If you would like to help with summer Sunday school email me and I will find the perfect spot! (chris@faithmanhattan.org)

We have a lot of fun things in store for this summer. I hope you will join us on one of our adventures!!!
