Women's Ministry
Women's ministry at Faith seeks to support women in all walks of life, offering spiritual support and guidance through Bible study, prayer, and worship. We also try to provide natural supports through meals when necessary, bridal and baby showers, and occasional special activities such as retreats, teas, and other events designed to help women connect with one another. Our congregation embodies a variety of women, from all walks of life. Our desire is not to take women away from their responsibilities, but to equip them to walk in confidence with others because of their connection to Christ and one another.
Personal relationships are very important to us at Faith, and we believe that honest, transparent sharing of our lives combined with prayer, is the foundation of spiritual growth. Believing that most of us have lives that are busy and complex, we try not to overload schedules with lots of activities, but choose instead to offer quality activities but fewer of them. We welcome any and all who wish to experience the transforming power of friendships in Christ, or merely to investigate what life at Faith is all about.
During the fall semester we will offer two studies at the church on Wednesday mornings from 9:15-11:15. The Beth Moore "Here and Now, There and Then" study over Revelation, led by Cindy Anderson is a series women are allowed to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. Beth Moore teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal. The other Wednesday morning study “The Amazing Collection-Book of the Bible a Week”, led by Julie Coonrod focuses on the main characters and theme of each book of the Bible. It is alive with dynamic teachings, original music videos and personal testimonies. This semester’s study will cover the books of Isaiah through Micah. The Beth Moore on Revelation will also be done on Wednesday evening every other week led by Wanda Klozenbucher. Christy Craft is leading a noontime group for working women outside the home. While eating lunch together, they will discuss opportunities and challenges that they experience as Christian women in the workplace. Topics of discussion may include balancing work with family and reflecting Christ in our work. Other topics
will be discussed as desired by group members.
Childcare is available for $10 per child for the semester.
