Groups
One of the significant ways we experience God in all of life is through the body of Christ. When we live in authentic community with others in the body of Christ we are in a place to experience aspects of God’s grace and truth, His accountability and forgiveness, as well as His support and strengthening. Because Sunday morning worship doesn’t allow this level of connection with others, we encourage all to find a place in a group. There are several opportunities for this.
Small Groups
These are gatherings of 8-14 people who meet together once a week in a home for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and of course food. Small groups vary according to the needs and desires of the group; they meet on various nights of the week, study various topics (a book of the Bible, a Christian book, a study of the sermon series, etc.), and have varying degrees of involvement by children (participating in all, some, or none of the group time).
ABFs (Adult Bible Fellowships) These are gatherings of 20-40 people that meet weekly on Sunday mornings to enjoy fellowship as well as to study various biblical topics. There currently are four ABFs all of which meet from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Renewed Minds – General ABF; Starting Sept. 21, they will be looking that the EFCA’s new Statement of Faith. Koinonia – Younger Married Group; currently studying Romans. Ignition – College-aged; currently discussing the practice of spiritual disciplines. All Nations – International; currently doing a study of the Bible.
