Below are some of the organizations and efforts that are doing good work in Manhattan. The champions listed for each outreach are individuals at Faith who are actively involved in that effort. Contact these champions if you have questions or if you want to explore the possibility of serving.

Athletes in Action
Athletes in Action reaches out to college student athletes and athletic department staff to see a Christ follower on every team, in every sport, and in every nation. More info here.

Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters matches adult volunteers (“Bigs”) with children (“Littles” - ages 6 through 18) with the goal of helping Littles thrive in life. More info here.

Join a group of friends to collect and repair used bicycles for International Students.

Bridge of Hope Church – Kansas City
We seek out the marginalized (the homeless, drug addicts, alcoholics, impoverished, single parents) in our community to express God’s love through tangible acts that communicate God’s desire to be in a close relationship with them so He can transform their lives and expose their gifts, talents, purpose and true identity.

Circles Manhattan
Circles Manhattan is designed to help individuals transition out of poverty and inspire communities to participate in finding long-term solutions to poverty while building circles of support and friendship around those living in poverty.

Habitat for Humanity
Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization, welcoming people from all walks of life to join as we build simple, decent, affordable houses in partnership with God and families in need.

Opportunities: Join in this effort through; Restore, Building Better, and Volunteer committees like Family Selection, Family Support, Public Relations, Military Support Construction Skills Training, and Volunteer Services.

Our mission is to assist families and individuals who have home repair needs beyond their abilities. The scope of projects can range from seasonal maintenance completed by an individual to multi-faceted repairs requiring several volunteers.

You can be a U.S. friend to an international student at K-State (from one of over 100 countries) and share the love of Jesus with the world. Your commitment: meet with your H.I.S. friend at least once every two weeks in a natural way (i.e., grabbing a cup of coffee, shopping, hiking the Konza Prairie).

Life Choice Ministries is a private organization. LCM exists to meet the needs of women & families dealing with issues of sexual activity & pregnancy related crisis. LCM is a non-denominational source for help. More info here.

MorningStar CRO
This Consumer-Run Organization (CRO) provides consumers of mental health services across a four-county area with resources and opportunities to break through the barriers of stigma and isolation with an environment that promotes independence and recovery by self-empowerment.

REACH extends a welcome to those with special needs with an emphasis on having great fun, building relationships and sharing Christ. It's fun and fellowship for all abilities so get involved and love on some incredible individuals!

World Friendship
World Friendship is an organization established for American and international women in Manhattan and the surrounding area to make new friends, and help with the transition to a new home through targeted programs, practicing English, developing creative skills, and sharing cultures. We meet weekly on Tuesday mornings during K-State’s semesters. More info here.
