What
to Expect
We want your visit to Faith to be a comfortable and positive experience. We’ve tried to anticipate some of the questions you might have before you come to Faith. You will find the answers to those questions below. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact the church office at 785-776-2086 or send us an email.

When should I arrive?
The first
time you attend plan to arrive 10 minutes
early (15 if you have children). This
will give you time to park, stop by our
Welcome Center, drop off the kids and find
a comfortable place to sit in one of our
three worship services.
Where should I park?
There are
several designated parking spaces reserved
just for you, our guest! These spaces
are located near the front doors, which are
located on the east side of the
building. Signs will direct
you.
When are your services?
We have
services at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in
our Worship
Center. All of these
services are identical in worship format
and message. Our 11:00
service is usually pretty full, so we
would encourage you to either come early
or to attend one of our other
services.
What is a service like?
People
usually show up for a service a few minutes
early. Some will use the time to quietly
prepare for worship, while others are
engaged in visiting with friends or guests.
After a few announcements, there is a brief
time of greeting those around us. A worship
team leads us in songs both at the
beginning and at the end of the service.
The sermon, or message, is meant for us to
better understand the Bible and our
relationship to God in a way that is
relevant to our everyday life. The
messages are available to you
on our
website or you may purchase a
copy on CD or DVD at our Office Counter
for $1.00. The service ends with a a
benediction to send people off with a
'good word' of encouragement. On the
first Sunday of the month, we celebrate
communion. The elements are served to us
while we remain seated.
What is offered for children?
Children's
worship opportunities are provided
throughout the morning. To find the
check-in desks for infants, toddlers and
preschoolers take a left once inside the
church go past the Welcome Center desk and
head down the hallway. You can find
specific locations by looking at our
building
map. There are nursery
and preschool opportunities throughout
the morning. Elementary classes are only
offered from 9:15 until 10:45. If you
have children we would love for you to
let us know about your visit by
filling out our
visitors form so that we can prepare
well and make each child's first
experience a good one.
Some people prefer to have their children, at any age, in the worship services with them while others prefer to have their children in an environment centered around the child. We welcome both. At times, young children can be a bit noisy in a worship service. That’s not a problem. We would invite you to consider utilizing the children's ministry options if you sense your child is becoming a distraction to others.
To find out more about the children's programs check out the Children's Ministry pages, especially the children's What to Expect page and feel free to contact us with any further questions.

What should I wear?
There is no
“dress code” at Faith. Feel free to wear
what best helps you worship God. You’ll
find some people in blue jeans or shorts
and a few in ties. Many people are
somewhere in between. We are really much
more concerned that you connect with God
than with what you wear.
Am I expected to give?
No; the
offering is a form of worship for our
regular attenders. We pass the
offering bag in each service to give our
regular attenders an opportunity to worship
in this way. We really want you to receive,
not give, when you visit Faith.
Will I be singled out as a guest?
Rest assured
that we will not ask you to wear a
name-tag, nor will you ever be singled out
in our services. We want your time with us
to be relaxed and comfortable.
